every year, christmas season starts and i see all the red and green, the lights, the santas, the music, the ADVERTISEMENTS...
and every year, i'm wondering what the hell i could possibly spend money on to put in a box and wrap up to give to my family and friends. you know, i buy gifts for people all year 'round; when xmas comes, i'm at a loss for what to buy because it feels forced upon me. not saying that i don't enjoy xmas, it fills me with happiness and appreciation for the things i have and am able to offer to others but i swear, the marketing and onslaught of what we are expected to consume around the holidays can be overwhelming.
that said, what the fuck am i going to buy this year?

america's next top model
i can't get enough of this show- i should be reading a book by the fireplace but instead i'm glued to the tv watching the next set of girls take amazing photos. it makes me wonder why the camera picks its friends and enemies. the camera HATES me and has a personal vendetta against my features because i can never take a good photo and i never look the way i look in the mirror and it makes me feel soooo fucking ugly when i see a picture of myself. you know, the camera makes me wonder if what i see in the mirror is a lie because i actually like what i see in the mirror on most days but as soon as that fucking camera lens sets its sights on me it totally destroys my image.
so, i'm basically giving the camera a big FUCK YOU!!!

Actual 1st post after automated xanga welcome entry...
how did that 1st blog entry appear? i know i didn't write it- this website is too automated and it's scaring me. well, actually, i'm glad it generated it's own welcome message; otherwise, it would've taken me longer to post a new entry.
i joined xanga so i could participate in elsaelsa's new astrology class about relationships. i already have 3 other blogs on google's blogpsot but i haven't posted regularly in a while and this is yet another electronic endeavor that will probably fizzle out in due time. or maybe not, who knows?
